My art celebrates transformation and new beginnings by giving discarded textiles a new, fascinating and surprising form. The limited selection of reclaimed materials is not a restriction for me — on the contrary, I gladly embrace it and let it guide me toward surprising and compelling fabric combinations. My art channels a sense of worthiness and the ability to see new possibilities. It is liberating, cleansing, and inspiring.

I believe in the power of visible handwork: it creates a sense of connectedness. Every stitch I make by hand carries the thoughts I have thought and the emotions I have felt during the hours spent working on the piece. I believe that this is precisely why a finished handmade work can deeply move the viewer. The presence of the maker’s hand creates a sense of connection—behind the piece is another human being, with all their feelings and experiences. That is why I choose to quilt and finish all my works by hand.

Unexpected color combinations find a balanced harmony in my work. I trust my intuition when creating the color scheme of my work, and the element of chance brought by the use of reclaimed fabrics gives it its own interesting flavor. My works are rich in color, yet their color palette and atmosphere remain elegant.

For me, patchwork is an endless playground of expression and form. I use shapes boldly and with an open mind to construct different worlds within my work, challenging the conventions of patchwork. My patchwork has a distinctive personal style, characterized not only by intriguing color and pattern combinations but also by a sense of layering, curved and geometric shapes, and abstract motifs that spark the imagination.
